Atlanta, GA — Speaking at an event in Atlanta, Joe Biden offered to buy the votes of Americans who were willing to vote for Democratic candidates Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock. He said that if people will vote for the two Democrats, he promised the $2,000 stimulus checks would go out the door to Americans. He made the comments at a rally ahead of Tuesday’s vote.

In his comments, he warned that additional help for Americans would not come if Republicans were sent back to Washington, even though both Republicans have come out in support of the additional funds. He made comments to stress the importance of the situation to those in Georgia and that the nation was counting on them.

Joe Biden in Georgia: “If you send Jon and the Reverend to Washington, those $2,000 checks will go out the door, restoring hope and decency and honor for so many people who are struggling right now.”He adds: “The power is literally in your hands.”

Biden’s comments come as Congress failed to reach an agreement to move the amount of the current coronavirus aid checks to $2,000, an action that President Donald Trump requested.

Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky) has refused to allow a vote on the legislation. He tied any potential vote to a possible repeal of Section 230, which Democrats seem unwilling to support. He also suggested that it should be tied to potential election investigations, an action that many Republicans seem unwilling to support.

Biden’s comments were misleading in stating that Loeffler and Perdue were the two holding up the checks. Both have openly supported the additional funds. If the measure was brought to a vote, it’s highly likely that it would pass.

Biden’s comments seem directly targeted toward McConnell and removing him from the leadership post in the Senate. If both Democrats were to win, the Vice President would cast the tiebreaking vote and the party of the Vice President would be the one that is declared the majority.

President Donald Trump was in Dalton, Georgia for a rally on Monday night. Perdue and Loeffler were behind their Democratic challengers in recent polls as some indicated that Republicans may stay home and not vote.

Trump has encouraged voters in Georgia to get out and vote, even though elections may be rigged. He has also come under fire recently for a phone call to the Georgia Secretary of State that was recorded and released to The Washington Post.

President Donald Trump has been committed to a January 6 showdown in Washington, as he has promised widespread evidence of voter fraud. He states that evidence will be so great that those in Congress will change their minds and will vote to challenge the election results.

For now, all eyes turn to Georgia for Tuesday. The polls close at 7 p.m. and data should start coming in soon after.

The Democrat’s plan for the Pandemic

There is a new law being proposed in New York that would allow the constitutionally protected freedoms of Americans to be overridden in favor of public health. The law would give the governor of the state sole discretion on who is locked up and how long they are detained for.
